Im I wrong for feeling the way I feel?

We have been together for a while, only able to c each other once a week. I have told him I dont need his money. We were fixn to start seeing each other more when he was fired from his job. He is a nurse so he makes good money and its not hard to find a job. Instead he takes a travel job 400 miles away. we(his 8yo son and I) see him every other weekend but it sucks.
