How long do 6-cyl F-150s last on average? I'm looking for a new one and trying to do some research. Thanks?

I know ford rangers are notorious for lasting up to 5 or even 600,000 miles! So I was wondering if I might have as much luck with an F-150? I will be getting the 6 cylinder version. Probably a 1998-2004 model in automatic. Do any of you know first-hand or have friends who know those trucks really last? Thanks for reading.
