Is gastric by p surgery better than lap band ?

hi, i want to know if gastric by p surgery or lap band is best for me. im a male 6' 4" 320 lbs i have type 2 diabetes. im just out of controll with my eating habits. im taking so much different medication. i just cant get my sugar under controll, and i cant lose any weight. i feel my diabetes medicine makes me eat ,even more. my endocronologist doctor wants me to get the surgery. but i dont know which surgery is best for me. if you had this procedure done, let me know which surgery you feel is best thanks, john.from new york.
