Whats the difference between the different types of christians?
They all believe in the bible. Protestant bodies generally believe that bible is the sole rule of faith. Orthodox also believe in the teachings of the church fathers and the Eenical Councils (I think the means the first six General Councils). Catholics believe in what the Orthodox believe plus all the General Councils and the supremacy of the Bishop of Rome. Protestants could be the Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Lutherans, etc. There are over 600 denominations in the US and 3,000 in Europe. Some Protestants such as the Anglicans (Episcopalians) are closer to the Orthodox in their beliefs Some American Fundamentalist Christians in the US claim that they are bible Christians but not Protestants. They are certainly bible Christians. I do not know how to clify some of these groups such as the Mormons. They have their own bible they call the Book of Mormon.
